Tips for Picking a Realtor

Selling real estate is one of the greatest opportunities most people have to create wealth.  I have 3 tips to help you pick the realtor who is best for you.

1. With over 50,000 realtors in Miami-Dade be very cautious picking a realtor who is any of the following:

* Your family member

* Your friend

* A part-time realtor

* A “top realtor” who can’t show you any “top” results

2. Examine the digital content the realtor produces.  Avoid the following:

* Realtors who use bad photos.  Make sure photos are exposed correctly so you can see both inside a room and out the window at the same time.

* Realtors who don’t use high quality videos with drone footage.

* Realtors that have zero presence on the internet.

3. Examine the realtor or realtor’s team.  Avoid the following:

* A realtor or team who has too much higher dollar business, to make your listing a priority.

* A realtor or team who is unorganized or uses printed paperwork to conduct business.

* A realtor or team that is not diverse.  In South Florida it is crucial that your realtor or team can conduct business with buyers and realtors from anywhere in the world.    

* A realtor or team that consistently prices properties incorrectly and has several properties currently listed on the market for months at a time.  I see a ton of realtors in Miami that claim to be "top producers".  They may sell a large volume of real estate, but their closing percentages are low.  Ask the realtor or team to show you a list of every property they listed in 2021 and the result.
